Equity Indicators Stakeholders Meeting #1
The Houston Planning and Development Department, Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Sustainability, Mayor's Office of Complete Communities, and the Kinder Institute for Urban Research are developing an equity indicators tool to track Houston’s citywide performance in addressing racial and ethnic disparities that have compounding effects, such as socioeconomics, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilities that exacerbate inequities throughout the city. This process involves meeting with stakeholders, made up of leaders from agencies and nonprofit across Houston to provide input and encourage widespread participation from all residents to establish key equity indicators.
