On January 7, 2021, at 6 pm, the Sunnyside Complete Community was co-hosted by the Houston Parks Board for a community listening session to gather community feedback on potential improvements to E.P Hill Park. The Houston Financial Empowerment Center announced exciting new of the program expansion. Air Alliance Houston gave information of a wonderful program they have in the works for Complete Communities and installing air monitors. Other community updates were also given.

On November 18, 2021, the Sunnyside Complete Community welcomed the Houston Parks Board for a community listening session to gather community feedback on potential improvements to Grimes Park. Exciting updates were given of recent efforts that took place in the Sunnyside community. The Historic Division of the Planning and Development Department made a presentation regarding possible Blueridge Historic District designation. Presentations were also made by the Houston Financial Empowerment Center & Abiola, a member of the Sunnyside task force shared recent efforts for speed bumps in her neighborhood. Other community updates were also given.
